6"x6" acrylic on wood, 2016
From the "Nude with Camera" series, in which I explored the relationship of the observer and observed, anonymity and vulnerability, as well as painting vs. photography. I painted from my own photoshoot of a woman who is a talented photographer in real life. Her face rendered anonymous by the camera lens, she has become an inspiring model for me. This is the last available original of this series.
All acrylic paintings are on birch plywood panels made in Canada. They are coated with a UV-stabilizing acrylic Polymer Varnish for The painting continues around the 1.5" wide edge of the canvas, so the originals are ready to be hung unframed.
